Revving Up Tradition and Breaking Records on Two Wheels
Stacey Olsen’s journey through the world of historic motorcycle racing is one of grit, passion, and unmatched dedication. A woman who’s been immersed in motorsport since childhood, Stacey is part of a long legacy of racing tradition, but what sets her apart is her drive to prove that racing isn’t just for the boys.

A member of a racing family, Stacey was introduced to the world of two wheels at the tender age of five, thanks to her father’s deep roots in historic racing. From then on, there was no turning back. By the time Stacey was in her teens, she knew that motorcycles would be her calling. Racing wasn’t just a hobby—it was a lifeline, a way to find her place in a male-dominated sport, and a vehicle for breaking free of the expected roles society had for women.
Stacey’s racing career spans several disciplines within the world of historic motorcycles: motocross, enduro, road racing, and even beach racing. She’s built a reputation as a fierce competitor with an eye for detail, constantly fine-tuning both herself and her machines to push past limits. Her history is rich with milestones, including being the first female to ever win the Mt Tarrengower Hillclimb outright—three times no less—and becoming the first woman to ever finish the Australian Vintage 3-Day Vinduro (A3VE). But the accolades don’t end there. She also holds the lap record for the P4 125cc class at Sydney Motorsport Park and is a multiple titleholder in historic motocross.
“I just want to show women that we can achieve anything,” Stacey shares. “I’m not just racing for myself; I’m racing for every woman who has ever thought about stepping into this sport but might have felt it wasn’t for them.”
Her love for the sport and its challenges drives her, but what truly inspires Stacey is seeing other women enter the racing world, follow their dreams, and thrive. As a qualified motorcycle coach, she’s committed to helping other women find their footing, running coaching days at Broadford with MV Women and Girls Track Days. Whether it’s helping a newcomer tackle their first lap or sharing strategies for tackling historic tracks, Stacey is constantly motivating the next generation of female riders to break out of their shells and into the sport they love.
In a sport where horsepower is king, Stacey’s determination and passion have earned her respect, but it’s her mission to foster more inclusivity for women that truly sets her apart. Her ultimate dream? To race in iconic venues like Goodwood and the Isle of Man, proving that women belong on any track they choose.
Off the track, Stacey’s personality is just as vibrant as her riding style. “You don’t need a high-performance bike to get started,” she says. “You just need the courage to go for it, and once you do, the road opens up. Don’t worry about what anyone else says, just ride.” And when she’s not blazing trails on her bikes, Stacey is finding ways to keep her audience engaged—whether it’s chatting about her favourite gear, a helmet from her hero Steve McQueen, or recounting the hilarious moment she gave track advice to Troy Baylis without realising who he was.
From making history to encouraging others to pursue their dreams, Stacey Olsen embodies what it means to be a true trailblazer in motorsport. Her journey shows us that the road ahead is wide open for women, and as long as we’ve got the passion to ride, the sky’s the limit.
