Sport:       Wingless Sprints, Speedway | Activity:   Driver

When your dad races speedway it just makes sense to get behind the wheel yourself. Chloe started out racing in Junior Sedan – participating in the State Titles – and has now stepped up into Wingless Sprints, passing the sedan onto her little brother.

It’s a father / daughter bond.

Although the division she races in is one of the more popular ones, Chloe is currently one of the only girls and definitely the youngest person racing, showing that she has the drive and aspiration to up her game and someday be a challenge against her dad. And when talking to Chloe, we see that it’s less about the actual racing and more about the bonding with her dad that inspires her to travel to the race track almost every weekend (Sydney, Parramatta and Dubbo).

So even though Chloe finds that many people don’t believe her when she tells them what she does for a hobby, she is still eager to promote the great benefits of being involved in such a friendly community. “If you were looking to get into the sport, don’t hesitate to head down to your local track and ask lots of questions, we would all love to see new faces in the sport.”

Chloe would like to send out an extra thank you to her dad (Troy Carey) who puts in so much work for both their cars, her mother (“who puts up with my attitude”), her step mum and 2 little brothers! “I wouldn’t be able to do this sport without any of the guys who travel with us to help us out with the cars,” Chloe says.

If you’d like to follow Chloe and her dad, you can through them on their Facebook page. Please don’t forget to also support their sponsors who make it possible for them to enjoy their sport.
